Kashi Kari featured artist for the month of May is Kimberly Nick Gutierrez. Se llama Esperanza explores Gutierrez’s experiences growing up in the borderland. Born in the USA, she lived in Ciudad Juarez crossing the border almost daily. Her art explores the bittersweet feelings that arise when thinking about these experiences and honors the work their parents did to provide the best for their children.
